TotSafe was founded in 2002, and continues
to be family owned and operated. Not only do we strive
to carry the best selection of safety products for children,
we also install them and train parents and caregivers on their
appropriate use. We at Tot-Safe are committed to providing parents with child safety products
and resources in order to help keep children safe at
home.
Toddler-hood is a very
inquisitive time for children, and as such can be
hazardous. Thousands of children are injured in the home
each year, and an enormous percentage of these injuries
could have been prevented with proper adult supervision and
childproofing of the home. Throughout our website you
will view child safety products that have been designed to
increase the amount of time it takes for a child to get into
an unsafe situation, giving caregivers added moments to move
children out of harm's way.
Due to high demand, we have also created a
brand new book to aid in your
effort to create a safe environment for your child. Mommy
Can Do It: A Do-It-Herself Guide to Baby-Proofing is a
step-by-step look at childproofing your home. The book
includes childproofing steps for each room or area of your
home as well as a "Woman's Guide to Tools" to help
you every step of the way!

SERVICES
TotSafe has been offering professional home
childproofing services to families in the Southeast Michigan
area for over 5 years. To request further information

How does TotSafe's
home childproofing service work?
TotSafe offers home baby-proofing services to
parents and caregivers of infants and toddlers. Services
include:

In-home, room-by-room evaluation by
our professional childproofers, including a thorough
babyproofing checklist, discussion of child safety
concerns and suggestions, product consultation and
selection.

The in-home consultation and product
selection generally takes about 2 hours. There is a
flat rate, non-refundable fee for this service.

Once we have completed the in-home
consultation, and you approve the product selections, we
can generally schedule the product installation 3-5
days later. Installations can take anywhere from 2 to 8
hours (depending on home size) and may be scheduled over
several days. At the time of installation, a TotSafe
babyproofer will also offer product training to all
caregivers in the household. There is an hourly fee
for this service as well as the retail cost of all
products installed.

If you are handy with tools, you can
choose to have TotSafe deliver your products to your door
for you to do-it-yourself.

Totsafe services suburbs in southeast
Michigan (Oakland, Macomb, Livingston Counties and parts
of Wayne County). Please call if you are out of the
area, sometimes we are able to accommodate a larger
service area for an extra fee.
