The Safe-Lok's patented Trap-Slot design helps to protect children two ways. First, it allows a cabinet door or drawer to open only approximately 1". Then, it locks in place so your child’s fingers can’t be pinched by the re-closing door, while it remains easy for an adult to release.

The new quick disable feature gives Mom, Dad or Grandma the option of installing the latch in a mounting bracket rather than directly to the door or drawer. This bracket allows the latch to be removed, letting an adult temporarily disable the locking function for easy access to drawers and cabinets when needed.
